Khyber Customs AKM/74 "Swiss" Cheese Grater Upper Handguard

 

The Original “Cheese Grater Upper Handguard” was designed in 2016 and produced by Khyber Customs in Houston, TX. Our product is the ONLY product on the market that includes a superior Melonite QPQ Coating (vs. Black Oxide or Phosphate) which provides improved corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and case hardening. These handguards are designed to be adjusted by the end user to get a precise fit to a wide tolerance of gas tubes. Made in USA since 2016.

 

Compatibility: These handguards are compatible with most AKM and AK74 pattern gas tube, and will replace any factory 4.25”-4.45" upper handguard.

This includes but is not limited to – WASR, AES-10B RPK, VSKA, PSAK47, PSA AK-V, MAK90, Arsenal SAM/SLR (not UR/K models), Saiga SGL, Vepr12, Draco (Full Size), Draco Nak9, Hellpup, KUSA KP-9/KR-9, IO Sporter, and many more.

 

Please note that changing out hand fit, factory parts with aftermarket parts & accessories may require hand fitting by the end user. For customers that are not equipped with basic tools or experience with hand fitting parts, we recommend seeking out the assistance of a competent gunsmith.     I just received my cheese grater. It is very Well made and fits perfectly. I highly recommend this for anyone's rifle. Great upgrade

    Overall I'm liking this top guard, only takes about 5 mins to install just use some torque.

    Had to do some persuading to get it on, fits nice and tight, two pieces under needed to be bent to make fit tight against tube, looks awesome!

    I just got my cheese grater upper handguard which I bought for my WASR-10 and it is a perfect fit. The handguard is made very sturdy and adds a great look to my rifle. I highly recommend it for those looking to replace wood handguards.

    Light years ahead of the old Chinese and American made graters. Super solid. No fitting popped right on me gun!! Great buy

    Love this piece. Put it on my Century NAK-9 and it looks great, fits tight and was easy to put on.

    Quality made product, the Swiss Grater Upper Handguard fit perfectly on my Romanian SAR-1. The two braces under the handguard eliminates flexing. Solid and tight fit. Finish is excellent.

    If you are looking to replace your upper handguard on your AKM, this will be an excellent choice. I do not believe that you will be disappointed with this product.

    Great product, you’ll probably have to fit it to your rifle but it’s not to hard (I did it without the correct tools) all around it’s a good product I plan to have another on my other rifle

    This is a great product IF you have patience, chances are you’ll have to fuck with it to get it to fit perfectly but it will nevertheless. Love the way it looks and it was definitely worth the frustration
